Die ABU Cardinal 152, Built by Abu Sweden, konnte ich leider nicht im Napp och Nytt Katalog finden ? Ich habe ein paar Stück in den Händen gehabt, diese waren alle Baujahr 1981! Weis vielleicht jemand von Euch mehr darüber ? Dann würde ich mich sehr über eine Info freuen? Vermutlich war es ähnlich wie bei ihrer Schwester der 52, sie war nur 1982 so richtig im Programm, die ersten wurden allerdings in 1981 produziert! Und bei der großen Modellbereinigung 1983 waren sie wieder verschwunden! Das macht sie zu einer der seltensten ABU Rollen “ Made in Schweden“.

Am Getriebe fällt auf, die Bremse wurde deutlich vereinfacht und der Mitnehmer für den Achsvorschub ist aus Kunstoff. Interessant finde ich noch das das Zwischenrad, aus Messing ist. Meistens ist es bei der 152 aus Aluminium! Ansonsten ist der Antrieb fast Identisch wie bei der Cardinal 52, bis auf 2 Kleinigkeiten und dadurch ist die Cardinal 152 sogar die deutlich zuverlässige Rolle! Und zwar wurde auf die Geräuschlose Rücklaufsperre verzichtet und die Kurbel hat die besser Verschraubung, kann aber dadurch nicht auf die andere Seite umgebaut werden!
The gearbox features a significantly simplified brake and a plastic drive mechanism for the axis feed. I also find it interesting that the idler gear is made of brass. On the 152, it is usually made of aluminum! Otherwise, the drive mechanism is almost identical to that of the Cardinal 52, save for two minor details, making the Cardinal 152 the significantly more reliable reel. Specifically, the silent anti-reverse feature was omitted, and the handle uses a superior screw-in attachment; however, this means the handle cannot be switched to the other side.

Hier wurde tatsächlich noch das Schmetterlings ähnliche Sicherungsblech verwendet.

Die Kurbel wurde ebenfalls etwas vereinfacht, das ist aber der größte Vorteil dieses Modells, dadurch wurde die Kurbel deutlich stabiler. Die Kurbel löst sich jetzt nicht mehr von selbst und auch die Achse zum durch schrauben, kann sich nicht mehr verbiegen.
Mir ist diese Kurbel, viel lieber als die der 52er Modelle!
