Die ABU Cardinal 157, Built by Abu Sweden, wurde im Napp och Nytt 1980 vorgestellt und blieb bis 1982.
Die Cardinal Modelle mit der 1 an erster Stelle, waren leicht vereinfachte Modelle, vom Getriebe her. Außerdem konnte man die Kurbel, nicht wahlweise auf beiden Seiten anbringen, was in meinen Augen ein großer Vorteil war, denn dadurch, hatte man nicht das Problem das sich die Kurbel ständig lockerten !

Das super funktionierende Getriebe, mit der großen Bremse, mit 4 Bremsscheiben, ist eines der besten überhaupt! Aber siehe roten Pfeil, jemand hat die Sperrfeder der Rücklaufsperre, verkehrt herum montiert ! Dadurch funktioniert sie natürlich nicht Einwandfrei ! Kann man aber mit ein paar Handgriffen wieder in Ordnung bringen.
