Hier gibt es noch eine kleine Verbesserung zu sehen, man kann mit ein paar Feilen Strichen, die Auflage für die Rücklaufsperre verbessern. An der Auflage oben eine kleine 45Grad Schräge anfeilen. Das hat 2 kleine Vorteile: erstens die Rücklaufsperre läuft dann etwas weicher und zweitens bei einer kleinen Wartung wenn man die Schneckenwelle, raus nimmt, springt die Rücklauf sperre nicht von der Auflage runter, bzw. wenn man den Schieber betätigt springt sie wieder an die richtige Stelle zurück. Komischer Weise hatte ich schon einige Rollen, die diese „Verbesserung“ hatten, vielleicht stand das auch mal als Fingerzeig in irgend einem Forum?

Bisher, habe ich diese Änderung immer nur an Cardinal 33 Modellen gesehen, kann mir vielleicht jemand von Euch mehr darüber sagen?

Here’s a small improvement you can make: with just a few strokes of a file, you can refine the contact point for the anti-reverse mechanism. Simply file a small 45-degree bevel onto the top of the contact surface. This offers two minor advantages: first, the anti-reverse mechanism operates a bit more smoothly and second, during routine maintenance, specifically when removing the worm shaft, the anti-reverse mechanism won’t slip off the contact point, or if it does move, it will snap back into the correct position when the slider is operated. Oddly enough, I’ve come across several reels that already featured this „improvement“ perhaps it was suggested in a forum somewhere?

So far, I’ve only ever seen this modification on Cardinal 33 models, can any of you tell me more about it?
