Anstelle von dem so wichtigen säurefreien Schmierstoffen, nur Korrosion, Schmutz und Sand. So etwas kann ich nicht verstehen? Also bitte, unbedingt einmal im Jahr, besser zweimal im Jahr, Deckel abnehmen und reinschauen. Und wenn nicht ausreichend Schmierstoff vorhanden ist, bitte mit etwas säurefreien Fett und Öl ergänzen. Auf keinen Fall, die Rolle mit Wagenschmiere oder Grafitfett, voll füllen! Das wäre der Tot für jede gute Rolle!

Sollte die Rolle aussehen, wie diese hier, natürlich die Rolle sofort zerlegen und reinigen und von der Korrosion befreien!

Instead of the all-important acid-free lubricants, there is nothing but corrosion, dirt, and grit. I simply don’t understand it. So please, make sure to remove the cover and take a look inside at least once a year, or better yet, twice a year. If there isn’t enough lubricant, top it up with a little acid-free grease or oil. Under no circumstances should you fill the reel completely with automotive grease or graphite grease! That would be the death of any good reel!

If the reel looks like this one, you should of course immediately disassemble and clean it, and remove the corrosion!
