Ich habe natürlich auch einige Alu Spulen, für meine Cardinal Rollen! Aber mir ist noch nie eine Kunststoff Spule, beim fischen geplatzt ! Im Anschluss ein paar Tricks, damit euch das auch nicht passiert, denn natürlich altern Kunststoffteile unter bestimmten Bedingungen relativ schnell, also immer Obacht !

I also have some aluminum spools for my Cardinal reels! I’ve never had one burst while fishing! Here are a few tips to help you avoid that too, because, of course, plastic parts age relatively quickly under certain conditions, so be careful!

Das lässt sich vermeiden wenn ihr immer Wachsam bleibt, hier ein paar kleine Tipps!

Das wichtigste überhaupt ist natürlich, das ihr euch, eure Spulen genau anschaut und sie auch richtig lagert, immer kühl und dunkel, das ist sehr wichtig! Und natürlich nie mit Monofiler Schnur, stramm aufgespult für längere Zeit einlagert, oder großen Temperatur Schwankungen aussetzt ! Sollte das nicht gehen, müsst ihr unbedingt auf ALUMINIUM zurück greifen !

Tip 1: Sollten eure Spulen wie diese Links , durch UV-Einstrahlung, oder zu hohe Temperaturen, grau geworden sein, dann sind sie zum fischen nicht mehr geeignet, unbedingt austauschen ! Der Weichmacher ist dann raus !

The most important thing of all is, of course, that you take a close look at your coils and store them correctly, always in a cool and dark place, that is very important! And of course, never store it tightly wound with monofilament line for extended periods, or expose it to large temperature fluctuations! If that doesn’t work, you absolutely must resort to ALUMINUM!

Tip 1: If your reels have turned grey like the left due to UV radiation or excessively high temperatures, then they are no longer suitable for fishing, be sure to replace it !

Tip 2: Die Spule vor jedem Einsatz, genau auf Risse oder andere Beschädigungen untersuchen ! Denn das Gegenlager für den Druckknopf, ist ein Stanzteil und unterliegt grösseren Toleranzen als z.B. ein Drehteil. Sollten die Passungsmaße zu eng sein, kommt es kurz oder lang zu Spannungsrissen , wie bei dieser Spule ! Sie muss sofort ausgetauscht werden!

Tip 2: Carefully inspect the spool for cracks or other damage before each use! The counter bearing for the push button is a stamped part and is subject to larger tolerances than, for example, a lathe part. If the dimensions are too tight, stress cracks will occur sooner or later, as with this spool! It must be replaced immediately!

Tip 3: Bevor ihre eine Spule, neu bespult, die Spule gründlich reinigen und auch innen, nach Rissen schauen! Denn wie ihr seht, diese Spule hat innen einen dicken Riss und das Vorderteil, hängt am seidenen Fädchen. Diese Spule hat Totalschaden und muss sofort ausgetauscht werden !

Tip 3: Before rewinding a bobbin, thoroughly clean it and check the inside for cracks! As you can see, this bobbin has a large crack inside, and the front part is hanging by a thread. This bobbin is beyond repair and must be replaced immediately!

Tip 4: Eine Spule gehört immer, sauber und gleich mässig bespult, von der ersten bis zur letzten Windung und parallel zur Hauptachse ! Natürlich gibt es dafür, im Netz und beim Händler um die Ecke, jede Menge Tipps! Wichtig ist nur gleichmässig und nicht zu stramm ! So wie bei dieser Spule darf, es auf keinen Fall aussehen !

Tip 4: A reel should always be wound cleanly and evenly, from the first to the last turn and parallel to the main axis! Of course, there are plenty of tips for this online and at your local retailer! The important thing is that it’s wound evenly and not too tightly! It absolutely shouldn’t look like this reel!

Tip 5: Der gute alte Spulenkern zur Schnur Reduzierung ! Da habe ich in den letzten 50 Jahren schon die abenteuerlichsten Ding gesehen ! Nur ein kurzes Wort zu diesem Thema. Bitte verwendet nur die Originalen, oder wenigsten einen der auf einer Werkzeugmaschine oder einem 3D Drucker gefertigt wurde ! Nicht wie bei dieser Spule, Plastikabfälle, mit Heftpflaster umwickelt. Häufig werden diese Eigenbauten so hart wie Beton und dann wird versucht, die Reste mit einem Schraubendreher oder Taschenmesser raus zu kratzen, was fast immer zu Schäden an der Spule führt !

Tip 5: The good old spool core for line reduction! I’ve seen some truly adventurous contraptions over the last 50 years! Just a quick word on this topic: Please only use original parts, or at least one that’s been manufactured on a machine tool or 3D printer! Not like this spool, made from scrap plastic wrapped with adhesive tape. These homemade versions often become as hard as concrete, and then people try to scrape out the residue with a screwdriver or pocket knife, which almost always damages the spool!

Tip 6: Da die Cardinal 44, in der letzten Zeit meine Lieblingsrolle ist, verwende ich meistens, für geflochtene Schnur, entweder die Casting Spule oder die normale tiefe Spule mit dem großem roten Kern!

Tip 6: Since the Cardinal 44 has been my favorite reel lately, I mostly use either the casting spool or the normal deep spool with the large red core, for braided fishing line!

Tip 7: Zum gleich mässigen bespulen der Spulen, verwende ich Zuhause, meist eine Tischbohrmaschine und Unterwegs nehme ich dann einen Akku Schrauber, wichtig ist nur, das man die Geschwindigkeit, schön langsam stellen kann ! Einfach eine alte Achse, für das passende Spulenmodell einspannen und los geht es !

Wichtig: Niemals unter Zeitdruck arbeiten, immer ruhig und sauber arbeiten !

Tip 7: To wind the spools evenly, I usually use a bench drill at home, and a cordless screwdriver when I’m out and about. The important thing is that you can adjust the speed to a nice, slow level! Simply clamp in an old axle that fits the appropriate spool model and you’re good to go!

Important: Never work under time pressure, always work calmly and cleanly!

Wenn ihr eure Spulen mit einer Vorrichtung bespult, dann habt ihr diese Probleme nicht wenn der Schnurdurchmesser mal zu klein ist ! Natürlich kann man das vermeiden, durch unterlegen von Scheiben, aber darauf möchte ich jetzt nicht näher eingehen. Natürlich ist auf der oben gezeigten Spule, auch viel zu wenig Schnur, darunter leidet dann die Wurfweite!

If you use a spooling device to wind your line, you won’t have these problems if the line diameter is too small! Of course, you can avoid this by using washers, but I won’t go into that now. Naturally, there’s also far too little line on the spool shown above, which negatively impacts the casting distance!

Tip 8: Wenn es dann wirklich, die Monofile Schnur und die tiefe Spule ohne den Reduziering sein muss, dann gibt es natürlich auch einen Super Trick, damit die Spule nicht platzt! Ihr könnt dann einfach, als Unterschnur eine dickere 4 fache geflochtene billig Schnur nehmen, bespult sie so das ein Rest von 8 bis 10mm überbleibt und das bespult ihr dann z.B. mit eurer 0,30 Mono zum Spinnfischen ! Der Kern der sich dann bildet ist dann super Flexibel und sorgt dafür, das die Spule ohne Probleme ihre Arbeit macht !

Tip 8: If you absolutely must use monofilament line and a deep spool without the reducing ring, there’s a great trick to prevent the spool from bursting! Simply use a thicker, inexpensive 4-strand braided line as the base line, spool it so that 8 to 10mm of excess remains, and then spool that with, for example, your 0.30mm monofilament line for spin fishing! The resulting core is super flexible and ensures that the spool works perfectly!
