Sie wurde vertrieben von1992 bis 1996. Wenn jemand mehr darüber weis oder eine Katalog Abbildung hat, bitte gerne mal bei mir melden , Danke !
I couldn’t find the ABU Garcia Cardinal C4 Green/Beige, Made in Japan, in any Napp och Nytt catalog. I think it was primarily intended for the Japanese and US markets? It was sold from 1992 to 1996. If anyone knows more about it or has a catalog image, please let me know, thanks!

Hier erkennt man gut, die neue HI-Tec Spule, aus Carbon Graphite. Außerdem sticht der Kurbelknauf aus Echtholz ins Auge und dieser geht auch sehr leicht, eine echte Verbesserung.

Hier die neue Art von Fussnr. 84-03, leider kann man aus diesen Nr. nur noch, raus lesen das diese Gehäuseart, ab 1984 gefertigt wurde und es handelt sich um die Revision 01. Aus den alten Fussnr. konnte man mehr heraus lesen.

Das sehr interessante Getriebe, einerseits gibt es Teile, die sind noch wie an der ersten Cardinal 44 von 1968, anderseits eine sehr interessante geräuschlose Rücklaufsperre, mit Kupplung und Koppelstange. Außerdem fällt auf, sie hat jetzt eine dritte Bremsscheibe bekommen und eine Zentrierhilfe für den Seitendeckel. Und der Antrieb selbst ist frei von Kunststoffteilen, das gefällt mir besonders gut daran !

Auch an dem verputzen der Rohteile und der Lackiervorbereitung, kann man erkennen das es nicht mehr, Made in Sweden ist!

Fazit: Diese ABU Gracia Cardinal Modelle, sind nicht nur optisch, der guten alten ABU Cardinal sehr ähnlich. Die Gehäuseform ist fast gleich , bis auf eine Zentrierhilfe für den Deckel. Die Kurbel die auf beiden Seiten montiert werden kann, ist zu den 50ziger Modellen deutlich verbessert worden. Der Kunstoff der Spule wurde stabiler gemacht und sie greift jetzt über den Rotor, dafür musste der Bügel und die Scharniere neu konstruiert werden, ähnlich wie an den 50ziger Modellen, aber mit einer moderneren Feder, die aber gleichzeitig, so etwas wie der Schwachpunkt ist. Außerdem ist die Qualität der verwendeten Materialien, so wie bearbeiteten Oberflächen, nicht mehr ganz so gut wie bei den frühen Modellen ! Aber es sind hübsche und gut Angelrollen die man gut mit ans Wasser nehmen kann und echt Spass machen!
In conclusion: These ABU Gracia Cardinal models are not only visually very similar to the good old ABU Cardinal. The body shape is almost identical, except for a centering aid for the side cover. The handle, which can be mounted on either side, has been significantly improved compared to the Cardinal 50s models. The spool’s plastic has been made more robust, and it now engages over the rotor. This necessitated a redesign of the bail arm and hinges, similar to the Cardinal 50s models, but with a more modern spring, which, however, is also something of a weak point. Furthermore, the quality of the materials used, as well as the surface finish, is not quite as good as on the early models! But they are attractive and good fishing reels that are easy to take to the water and are a lot of fun to use!
