Hierbei handelt es sich um ein USA Exportmodell, für die Firma Zebco, diese Rollen entsprechen technisch der ABU Cardinal 54, aber Farbe und Aufkleber des Gehäuses sind anderst. Diese Rollen wurden von ABU produziert.
Die ABU Cardinal 54, Built by Abu Sweden, erschien im Napp och Nytt Katalog 1978 und blieb bis 1982.
Nach einer langjährigen Zusammenarbeit, übernahm die Firma ABU ca.1980 die Garcia Corp. Es ging um deren US Vertriebswege. Daher wurde die Zusammenarbeit mit Zebco, im Laufe des Jahres 1980 beendet!
Die Zebco 554 wurde offiziell nur 1979 in den USA vertrieben, einige wenige Stücke, gingen auch noch Anfang 1980 über den Tisch! Daher sind sie relativ selten im guten Zustand zu finden. Von den Fußnr. habe ich bis jetzt nur 78XXXX und 79XXXX gesehen !
This is a US export model for the company Zebco, these reels technically correspond to the ABU Cardinal 54, but the color and sticker of the casing are different. These reels were produced by ABU.
The ABU Cardinal 54, Built by Abu Sweden, appeared in the Napp och Nytt catalog in 1978 and remained in it until 1982.

Hier fällt auf, das Getriebe ist praktisch Identisch wie die Revision 02 der ABU Cardinal 54.
